That is the key local fact for mugshots: the roster can help identify a booking, but it should not be described as an official mugshot gallery.
No separate official Yuba County mugshot gallery or daily booking-photo gallery was located in the project research. The Sheriff's Office home page references Citizen RIMS tools for public information such as media bulletins, missing persons, most-wanted lists, and arrest information, but the specific jail-roster configuration disables inmate photos. The Yuba County Sheriff's Office mobile app has been reported to include inmate lookup, yet the App Store and Google Play descriptions do not independently verify that booking photos appear in the app. Do not assume the app shows mugshots.
Where to Find Yuba County Booking Photo Information
Start with the official roster because it supplies the booking identifiers and charge context needed for a precise request. The public Yuba Citizen RIMS incarcerated-people page supports current-custody searching by date range and name. It can show booking number, name, booking date, arresting agency, arrest location, bail, status, and charges, but the photo field is disabled. For the nonphoto custody fields, use the fuller Yuba County jail inmate records lookup path.
- Open the official Citizen RIMS incarcerated-people page and search by Last name first, adding First name only when needed.
- Use Start and End date filters if the booking date is known or if many results share the same name.
- Record the booking number, booking date, arresting agency, bail, status, and charges from the public result.

Penal Code section 13665 restricts law-enforcement social-media sharing of booking photos for nonviolent-crime arrests unless a listed public-safety, judicial, or exigent exception applies. Civil Code section 1798.91.1 addresses commercial booking-photo publishers and makes it unlawful to solicit, require, or accept payment to remove, correct, modify, or stop publishing a booking photograph.

What Is and Is Not Public on the Yuba Roster
The public roster is useful for current-custody information, not for every historical record or every image held by law enforcement. How Long a Mugshot Stays on the Roster
Because Yuba Citizen RIMS photos are disabled, there is no local official roster retention window for public mugshots to describe. The roster itself is a current-custody style search. Some raw record data can include released, out-date, or out-time fields, but the research did not identify a public historical photo gallery or a daily booking-photo archive. Completed bookings may appear in the roster only after the jail has completed the booking process, while VINE is described by the county as receiving updated information every 15 minutes from the jail booking system.
If a person is no longer visible in Citizen RIMS, that does not prove no record exists. It may mean the person was released, transferred, searched under a different name, not booked into Yuba County Jail, or moved into another custody system. Mugshot Removal, Limits, and Sealed Records

Yuba County Sheriff's Office App and Photo Caution
The official mobile app is called Yuba County Sheriff's Office. The iOS listing is published by Yuba County Sheriff's Office CA, and the Google Play listing is published by OCV, LLC. The app-store descriptions mention crime reporting, tip submission, interactive features, and public-safety news or information. A KCRA launch report from August 29, 2024 reported app features including inmate lookup, sex-offender tracking, current incident alerts, evacuation information, school resource officer contact, a crime map, and community events or outreach information.
The app may be useful as another public-safety channel, but the research does not verify app-only booking photos. Federal, State, and Immigration Booking Photos
A Yuba County Jail booking photo request is different from a state prison, federal, U.S. Marshals, or immigration custody search. CDCR CIRIS is for people sentenced or transferred to California state prison custody, not for current Yuba County Jail detainees.
